The Crown Liquor Saloon was originally opened by Felix O´Hanlon and it was named The Railway Tavern. The Saloon is an astonishing example of a Victorian Gin Palace. The Environment and Heritage Service gave the Crown Grade A status. The Saloon is amazingly rich in color while the floor has myriad of mosaic tiles. Skilled craftsmen from Italy who were employed in the building of Catholic churches also worked on this saloon. On every side of the pub there are patterned tiles, wood carvings, ornate mirrors, and painted glass.
In the Crown exist wooden booths lettered A-J where people can drink without being disturbed by other customers.
