Bloody Sunday massacre carried out by the 1st Battalion of the Parachute Regiment on innocent civilians in January 1972 leads to people turning away from the peaceful Civil Rights Movement and towards armed conflict. This tour will also examine both the Widgery and Saville inquries in to Bloody Sunday and takes you in to the heart of Derry's Bogside and explains the meaning of the political murals in the area.

The walled city of Derry offers the best preserved fully complete walled cities in Europe and the only complete walled city in Ireland. This walking tour begins with one of the first Christian settlements that was built on the hill of Derry by St. Colmcille in 546. The city has been involved in some of the key eras in Irish history including The Flight of the Earls 1607, Plantation of Ulster from 1609, 1641 Rebellion, Siege of Derry 1689 and the 1798 United Irishmen Rebellion.
